We’re not full-time travelers or luxury golfers. We’re seasonal workers who spend our winters teaching skiing and snowboarding, and our summers working (and playing) at a golf course. In between? We chase movement — riding singletrack, pedaling mountain passes, walking 18 holes, and seeing how far our legs (and budget) can take us.
We started The Intentional Golfer because we believe in living life with thought and purpose. That means saving with intention, spending with clarity, and saying yes when adventure calls — even if it looks a little unconventional.
This blog isn’t just about golf. It’s about designing a life around freedom, not burnout. It’s about making the most of seasonal work, stretching your dollars to stretch your trips, and carving out time for what matters — whether that’s a sunrise ride, a loop through the back nine, or a last-minute flight to play a bucket-list course.
We believe in walking the course, not racing through life. And we’re here to share what that looks like — the real stuff — from finances to fairways, bike climbs to budget breakdowns.
If you’re into golf, travel, two-wheeled adventures, or just living with a little more intention — welcome.
